Taman Safari Bali’s Eco-Friendly Beach Event
This heartwarming celebration is part of Taman Safari Bali’s vibrant “AMAYZING ACTION for AMAYZING IMPACT” campaign running throughout May. Additionally, the campaign packs in activities, including the traditional Tumpek Kandang Ceremony, beach clean-ups, turtle releases, and even a blood donation drive at the park. It’s celebrates by the enthusiastic participation of the Taman Safari Bali management team, employees, local community members, and eager volunteers.
Jesica Helena, Operational Manager of Taman Safari Bali, shared her excitement: “We at Taman Safari Bali are thrilled to host this event, showcasing our commitment to environmental conservation and our dedication as a conservation center. This beach clean-up and turtle release are concrete steps in preserving our coastal habitats, home to an array of marine life, including our beloved turtles.”
Bali’s stunning beaches and lush landscapes globally attract visitors from every corner of the globe. However, the increasing amount of waste and pollutants threatens these pristine shores. If left unchecked, Bali’s iconic beaches could lose their charm and ecological integrity.
Celebrating World Turtle Day
Taman Safari Bali’s beach clean-up aimed to tackle this issue head-on, removing trash and debris to create a cleaner, safer environment for both marine life and beachgoers. Moreover, This hands-on effort coincided perfectly with World Turtle Day. Celebrated annually on May 23, aiming to raise awareness about turtle conservation and the importance of protecting their natural habitats.
The highlight of the event was the heartwarming moment when participants released baby sea turtles back into the sea. These tiny turtles, prepped for their ocean journey, are now a part of conservation efforts to protect this endangered species.
Taman Safari Bali is calling on everyone to join the mission of environmental sustainability. “We hope this beach clean-up not only beautifies our environment. Our program also serves as a powerful reminder that we share this beautiful island of Bali with many marine creatures who need our help to protect their homes. Visit our website at balisafarimarinepark.com for more information about our conservation programs,” encouraged Dr. Kadek Kesuma Atmaja, LS Curator of Taman Safari Bali.
Furthermore, let’s keep Bali beautiful for generations to come!
