Did you know, Indonesia is a home to wide variety of wildlife that is native to the archipelago? Here are just a few of native animals of Indonesia:

First, The beautiful Bali Starling can be found in the northwest of Bali island. They are easily recognize by clear white, with a long drooping crest, blue bare skin around the eyes. And, in South Bali you also can visit the Bali Starling Aviary (one of the few remaining havens for these precious birdssee) at Bali Safari and Marine Park.

Second, the largest lizard in the world. Komodo Dragon is native animals from Rinca, Padar and Komodo Island in Flores, East Indonesia. Also known as the closest living relative to the dinosaurs. And extremely dangerous predator, because the deadly venom in its saliva, powerful body, sharp teeth and claws. Komodo Dragons are living free and wild at the Komodo National Park in Flores, but you also can see them at the Bali Safari and Marine Park Gianyar, Bali.

Third, the Orangutan is always a favorite, because they are cuddly, friendly, and has natural adorable facial features. But, the Orangutan is critically endangered, because massive deforestation of palm oil plantations. At Bali Safari and Marine Park, you could interact with these delightful creatures in a safe, open and natural setting.

Fourth, Sumatran Tigers are the majestic creatures with their striking bright orange and reddish brown furs are the smallest species of tigers in the world. Sumatran Tigers highly sought-after for illegal wildlife trade, therefore facing rapid decline in population. You can see closer the wild Sumatran tiger, its wide and open habitat at the Bali Safari and Marine Park.

Fifth, beautiful monkey The Black Ape is almost entirely black, save for some silver streaks on its arm area. Originally from the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia. Black Ape also known as celebes crested macaque, has striking reddish-brown eyes and long hair tuft or crests at the top of its head.
