Did you know although they have been replaced by humans, crocodiles or crocs were once at the top of the food chain. Despite being classified as reptiles, crocodiles are more closely related to dinosaurs and birds than to most animals classified as reptiles.

Crocodiles are quite versatile reptiles, which means they can live in a variety of environments such as lakes, rivers, freshwater, or salt water. Here in Bali Safari, one of the crocodiles that exist is the salt-water crocodile.

The saltwater crocodile has the highest bite force of any animal. The young ones can eat insects, amphibians, crustaceans, small fish, and reptiles. Once they become adults, they eat larger prey such as mud crabs, turtles, snakes, birds, buffalo, wild boar, and monkeys.

Challenge yourself feeding these wildlife up close and get an unforgettable experience. The “Croc Feeding” activity is available every Thursday to Sunday from 13:00 – 16:00. This activity can also be done depending on the condition of the animal.
