Taking care of our surrounding is very important for the sake of future and to maintain the harmonious life. The surroundings or conditions in which a person, animal, or plant lives and interacts also known as the environment. It also encompasses the interaction between all living species with climate, weather and natural resources.
Sadly, many environmental issues such as marine pollution, global warming, overpopulation, sustainable consumption and wildlife crimes are happening.
Therefore, to encourage the awareness and environmental protection, every year on June 5th we are commemorate the World Environment Day.
2022 Theme: #OnlyOneEarth
Over the years, the day became a global platform for every people to participate in campaign to spread awareness. Every year, the celebration is done according to a specific theme which addresses the major environmental concern of the time.
As for 2022, the theme is #OnlyOneEarth, which focuses on living sustainably in harmony with nature. That’s because we facing multiple crises from climate change to loss of biodiversity and an increase in carbon emissions.
Likewise 50 years on, this motto is as pertinent as ever! This planet is our only home, and humanity must safeguard its finite resources.

Action in Bali Safari Park
Bali Safari Park, unit of Taman Safari Indonesia, is home for more than 100 exotic species of animals. The harmony life of animals and plant that thrive in it, making one of important things that must be preserved.
To celebrate World Environment Day 2022 #OnlyOneEarth, Bali Safari Park held the plant tree and cleaning blitz around the area. These tree were planted around the Petting Zoo area, and clean-ups were held along the elephant trail.
Lead by General Manager of Bali Safari Park, Marcel Driessen, it is hope the action can make us realize about important role in protecting the environment.
